The Bannsiders found themselves in front as early as the second minute when leading scorer Rory Patterson latched onto a Jody Tolan flick to lob the ball over Bohs 'keeper Barry Murphy.

But the visitors hit back on 27 minutes through Owen Heary who turned the ball home from close range after Anton Murphy had nodded a corner into his path.

They then moved ahead a couple of minutes into the second half after Mark Rossiter hammered a 20-yard drive into the roof of the net past the helpless Lawrence McCormick.

And they completed the scoring eight minutes from time when McCormick fumbled a Glenn Cronin shot allowing substitute Paddy Madden to knock home the rebound.
