Crusaders 3-3 Dungannon Swifts
JJB Sports Premiership - Tuesday, 3rd February, 2009
STRUGGLING Dungannon Swifts twice led at Seaview in this re-arranged JJB Sports Premiership clash but, in the end, had to settle for a point for their efforts.

Crusaders, too, will feel unfortunate not to have picked up all three points after squandering a last minute penalty.

Indeed, it was Stephen Baxter's side who moved in front after 21 minutes when David Rainey nodded down a Martin Donnelly corner for Mark Dickson to knock home from six yards.

Dungannon levelled nine minutes later through Ryan Mullan when he nodded home a Rodney McAree delivery at the back post.

They then moved in front on 56 minutes after Timmy Adamson glanced in a Matthew Doherty cross from the left but, five minutes later, the Crues were back level when Dickson stroked home a spot-kick awarded for a McAree foul on Jamie Marks.

However, Adamson restored the visitors advantage in the 66th minute with a stunning finish from the edge of the area following a Ryan McIlmoyle centre.

John Cunningham's side held out until 11 minutes from time when Rainey equalised for Crusaders after Jordan Owens had flicked on a Gareth McKeown throw-in.

And the Crues almost snatched it at the end when they picked up their second penalty - for an Alvin Rouse foul on Dickson - but the Barbados international 'keeper redeemed himself when he kept out Dickson's subsequent strike with a low save at the left post.
