Dungannon Swifts 0-1 Institute
JJB Sports Premiership - Saturday, 2nd May, 2009
DUNGANNON Swifts slipped back to the bottom to the table with this defeat at home to Institute.

The Swifts might have taken an 11th minute lead when Shea McGerrigan teed Marc McCann up only for his first time effort to be saved by Alan Ryan.

'Stute came close themselves twice around the half-hour mark when first Austin Friel and then Sean Roddy tested Alvin Rouse with 25-yard free-kicks.

Declan Divin almost broke the deadlock three minutes into the second half only to strike an upright.

And he was involved again, on 65 minutes, when 'Stute finally did take the lead. Luke Anderson played him in to send a cross into the penalty area which fell for Friel to drive beyond Dungannon's Barbados born 'keeper.

The Swifts now must prepare for next week's play-offs with Ladbrokes.com Championship runners-up Donegal Celtic.

They travel to Suffolk Road for the first leg on Tuesday night with the return at Stangmore Park on Friday. Both games kick-off at 7:45pm.
